Kind Words

"When in a last minute bind to hire a photographer (August) for the birth of our rainbow baby (November) — Conner messaged me via DM. I hesitated to open it as my messages were flooded with anyone and everyone wanting the opportunity to capture a birth. Hoping and praying I wouldn’t be disappointed I opened the messaged, viewed the page linked to her profile, and immediately responded to her. Her portfolio was everything and more, it was just the quality and editing we were looking for. She answered all of my questions and even sent more pictures to prove she could do just the job. We met in person a week later and she was the sweetest ever. We didn’t hesitate to hire her. We kept in good contact the following months and she frequently checked in on how I was doing/feeling. I was so worried about having her on call (though I’m sure she was more worried) as I had premature labor symptoms but luckily I made it to my induction date. My husband kept her updated throughout the early stages of my induction and she came the next morning a couple hours after my water broke. I opted for the epidural so things were smooth sailing and I insisted she leave and come back when it was closer to being time. A few hours later my husband told her to come when I was at a 7. I’m thankful he did because I went from an 8 to a 10 in 10 minutes. Conner came just in time! I’ll be completely honest I totally forgot she was there, which is totally *not* a bad thing! I said hi to her when she got there but my room was flooded with nurses, 2 doctors, and 4 family members and my mind was focused on other things, the photography was the last thing on my mind. After I delivered and things became more clear, I looked up and noticed her quietly in the corner capturing all of the details. She even got a photo of when I noticed her and smiled in gratitude. She stayed & captured all of the details — me contracting before I delivered, the delivery, cord cutting, skin to skin with mom & dad, mandatory hospital procedures, my husbands emotions, my family members emotions, and the very first breastfeeding session. She even came back the next day to take photos of the sweet moments of my husband and I transitioning into parenthood with our new arrival. We received our gallery not even 2 weeks later and my husband & I cried as we flipped through the chronological pictures that showed us just about every detail of the day our sweet rainbow arrived. I would have never known she had never photographed a birth until that day, the quality was unreal. I was extremely grateful I hired a birth photographer but I was even more grateful that I hired Conner as she was so sweet & respectful towards everyone during my labor and delivery. She truly did such an amazing job. There are so many words to describe Conner— Sweet. Caring. Reliable. Prompt. Talented. Professional. Respectful. I highly recommend hiring her for any of your photography needs."
